I had a website, image-ination, solely devoted to a 365 project I first did in 2007. I’ve decided to combine that site with this one and have migrated all content from image-ination here to The Life of Things. What follows is the project outline, and information about other 365 projects I’ve done over the years. Knowing me, there will be another 365 project down the road here at The Life of Things at some point as I can’t seem to help myself. Until then though, here’s the low down on what’s gone before…
When I started this project the following was written December 2007: The idea? Post a photograph a day for a year, a full 365 days. I could be traveling, or just going about my day-to-day, but no matter… every day, for at least a year, I’ll be posting an image to this site. What you’ll find here is how I see the world, both with the naked eye and through a lens. To me they seem to be the same. I see photographs everywhere I look, I can’t help myself, I’m constantly framing the world.
December 19, 2011… I finally decided, tentatively, to do another 365. I’ve also decided I will primarily use the camera on my iPhone. It’s always with me, which means I always have, right there in my pocket, the ability to take a photo. The key so far has been trying to remember to do it. It’s been hit and miss. I’m trying. There’s not tons of pressure since I’m really doing this because I want to, because my world has changed, and because I want to see what happens. It will be fun to see what this little camera gets. What I see.
November 12, 2013 — I’m thinking of starting another 365 on December 1, 2013. As I said above, getting in the grove of it is the tough part. Once there I can post every day, and remember to post every day. We’ll see what happens.
December, 2014 – I finished the latest 365 and needed to take a wee bit of a break. In the meantime I’ll be posting photos when the mood strikes. Enjoy, and stay tuned for the next 365 adventure I’m sure will be coming up sometime down the road.
