I decided, since I’m a film lover and also a total nerd, to visit the AFI Top 100 Films from the U.S. to see which I’d seen and which ones I still need to see. I’ve seen 74 out of 100 and found some glaring gaps in my film repertoire, things that were missing that shouldn’t be. In the interest of continuing my movie education and also to see some great films I’ve not seen, I’m working my way through them. The first, going down the list from 1 to 100, was The Graduate. I watched it yesterday. I couldn’t believe I’d never seen it, but feel that way about a lot of the films on the list I haven’t seen yet. The next… On The Waterfront. I’m looking forward to this adventure.
Next on the list, after finishing the top 100 will be to look at the 400 nominees for that list and start knocking those off. I’ve seen some of those as well, but defintely not all. There is some good movie watching in my future!
