Photo Hunt – Hanging

Droplets, originally uploaded by Tokenhippygirl.

The theme for this week’s hunt is hanging. I looked through my stuff and found this one taken in January of this year, right after a good rainstorm. As you might have heard, we’re very familiar with rain here in Oregon. It’s part of what makes it so beautiful here and also why, after a long winter of rain, we appreciate our summer so much.  I love taking photographs after it rains, hence this shot, as everything always looks so fresh.  There’s something about water, drops, the rain… it’s life, new, and can be incredibly, and simply, beautiful.  Like these drops hanging off the bare maple tree.

  1. What a wonderful photo, the best one I have seen for today. Looks like a Japanese cutleaf maple so the bark is interesting as well as the dried leaves. All speculation of course! Have a good weekend.
