The Band, originally uploaded by Tokenhippygirl.

This band was playing some pretty peppy tunes as we crossed the finish line. Pretty satisfying to have completed it. Two and a half hours. Not bad considering all the stopping and gawking we did. What an awesome day!  I’m keeping my friends and my sweetie’s confidentiality by not posting the photos of them dancing around to this band.  They did, it was joyous, but the record of it is also pretty hilarious.  We’ve all had a good laugh about those pics.

Karen took this great shot of our four compadres as they neared the finish line. Maggie to the left, Kristen to the right and closest to the camera, Sandy sort of in front of Kristen to the left, and Kate up in front of Sandy. Great shot. Great time with you all!

I always have to take a few odd shots. This, looking up the support on the Freemont, is one of those. Kind of makes you feel a bit dizzy looking at it.

Looking West, originally uploaded by Tokenhippygirl.

This is the view facing the other way, west, from the Freemont. The water of the Willamette looked so cool Sunday. Love this one.

This is Kristen taking a photo of me taking a photo. Cool just to be up there on the Freemont. What a great day with some terrific friends. You ladies are da bomb!!

The Freemont, originally uploaded by Tokenhippygirl.

Our last bridge in our six bridge Providence Bridge Pedal oddyssey was the Freemont Bridge. Most recognizable and never traveled by bicycle except for this once a year opportunity. We cruised up to the top of this beauty and stood looking at the views for awhile. So cool to be up there and so much fun riding down, fast, on the other side.

Broadway Bridge, originally uploaded by Tokenhippygirl.

After the Burnside we crossed the Broadway Bridge. Really nice. So cool to be able to ride over it. In this photo are Kate and Kristen. Kate, we are still jealous of your bike shorts! Oh, and your gloves by the way.

A quick stop on the Burnside gave us a look over at the Steele Bridge, The Freemont Bridge in the background (the Broadway Bridge is in between these two bridges), the Rose Garden on the right in the photo, and the seawall in the photo on the left.

Getting Our Footing, originally uploaded by Tokenhippygirl.

Yep, ya’all knew this shot was coming. The classic, but never boring, foot shot. Guest feet in this shot besides Karen and mine are Maggie, Sandy, Kate, and Kristen. Sitting here right now I can’t remember who’s foot was who’s. I took this on the Marquam with Portland in the background.

Hey, It’s Me, originally uploaded by Tokenhippygirl.

I had to get a shot of my bike helmet. Not as telling as the photo of Karen’s head, but there it is, my helmet, on my head. Also in this shot… Karen, sitting by the wall, Kate’s foot, and I believe Kristen’s feet behind Kate.

Bridge Pedal… Our friends are awesome, each and every one. Four of them decided to take the Providence Bridge Pedal ride with us. Sandy, being Sandy, had to do it her way. We love this girl. Fun loving, full of life, sweet, incredibly sincere and giving… you are fantastic. So glad you were along for the adventure last Sunday.
