Was a beautiful day for skating, though it was still very very cold out. These people didn’t seem to mind.

I thought I’d post a few more shots of Chicago and possibly throw in a bit of commentary about the wedding, our time in this lovely city, and our coming back home.
Inside the Glessner House.
Walking along the Magnificent Mile…. Chicago.
Here’s Irv looking like he’s gesturing toward the Trump Tower. Irv was a famous newspaper man in Chicago. I personally had never heard of him, but he’s famous none the less. Famous enough to get a statue anyway. Way to go Irv.

I would not be able to skate here. Tried ice skating once, a long time ago, in Montana. Then it was my first time, I was 19, and my little sister was much much younger… like 4. I fell, she skated around like a rock star. I gave up ice skating that day. Now I just like to watch people skate. Much safer.
Thought I would put some shots from Thanksgiving out there. It was the last time, save for a trip recently to the store for supplies, I was out of the house. Thanks again Maggie, as always you put on a wonderful party.
This is Pat’s hand… holding a mimosa.
I’ve decided to leave this post up at the top for awhile. WordPress calls this a sticky post. I guess because it’s now stuck to the top.
About this widget… As National Geographic puts it, “Check back weekdays to see photo editor Susan Welchman’s daily selections. From the Daily Dozen, a selection of photos will be published monthly in National Geographic magazine.” There’s some pretty awesome work here. To avoid this, if you’d like, and just get to stuff I’ve posted, scroll down below this post. I’d advise you to take a look though… you will be touched and inspired.
It’s almost five o’clock and time to go home. Woo hoo! This has been a long week. L-O-N-G. I’m tired and ready to hang at home, watch a movie, enjoy a snuggle with my sweetie and our pups.

Had a great lunch this last Sunday with our friends, Dan and Linda, their kids, Amanda and Daniel, and Kev. Really nice time with them in Centralia at the Olympic Club. Nice mid point meeting spot.

Gotcha
