Watching the line is part of fishing. Did it move? Was that a fish? Grab it!

Last week and then this last weekend has been filled with “stuff” for the addition. Shopping for the addition, painting and siding the addition (Thanks Kev, Mom and Don for the assist this last weekend. You guys rock as painters and siders!), more shopping for the addition, more siding, etc., etc., etc. I also snuck in a day of fishing with Stan, Stacia, and Connie. Nice to just get out on the river and hang. I caught nothing, but got to watch Connie and Stacia catch fish. It was worth it.

The Metolius is gorgeous as a river. Springs up, literally, out of a hillside, and grows ever larger as it moves along being fed by other smaller rivers, creeks, etc. It is clear, clean, and beautiful.

Such a fantastic time last Saturday with the girls. What a great group of people and just a lovely time. So, when are we going again?
Navigating The Rapids, originally uploaded by Tokenhippygirl.
There were a few sets of rapids. Nothing too strenuous or scary. They were just enough for us to all yell WOO HOO as we went down.

Last Saturday we, and most of the same friends who attended the concert with us, with a couple of additions, went tubing down the Sandy River. Oxbow Park to Lewis and Clark. Five hours of fun, friendship, peace and quiet, and relaxation. Really awesome!

Here’s one, actually taken with the Canon PowerShot SD750. Much more portable and easy to get on the boat than the Rebel XT. Not a bad little shot taker either.

You get some really good views of the city, the river, and the bridges by strolling the eastbank esplanade. I highly recommend it. Or, if you don’t feel like strolling, bike it. Really good for either.
