Just a bit of a branch that had washed up at some point. And yes… if you’ve read the previous post and wondered, Weston did leave his mark on this one as well. There should be a sign… Weston was here.

Can’t you just feel those negative ions flowing at you from this photo? They are strong… mighty… and completely relaxing.

Weston had a great time chasing down this enormous stick. I was actually surprised he could run with it as well as he did. He’s so cute…

We spent last Thursday through Sunday morning in Lincoln City, Oregon at the Ester Lee Motel just hanging out, walking on the beach, playing poker, watching the Harry Potter marathon, and enjoying the fourth of July fireworks displays. We also, to give ourselves credit for actually celebrating the fourth, did our own little bit of sparkler waving and built a fire on the beach (even though it drizzled part of the time) complete with weenie roasting and s’more makin’. We had a really good four days over there.

In keeping with the spirit of what I usually do on this blog o’ mine I will post several photos taken during our time in Lincoln City and Newport, which we visited. This one was taken the first day, in Lincoln City, on our first walk down to the beach from our motel room. I liked the look of it. It’s a weed, but really cool and lovely.

We had such a good time over at the coast this weekend. Walking on the beach, watching loads of movies (five actually… they were: The Savages, The Guardian, Juno, We Own The Night, and one of my all time favorites, Peter’s Friends), eating good take out Chinese food for dinner and then lunch the next day, chai teas, and walking on the beach… again, and again. It was a very relaxing weekend. Just what we needed.

Weston loved his time away. He’s a happy little camper when he can have both of us with him all the time. He slept, played, ran in the sand, dug in the sand, chased his ball on the sand, and looked out the window of the hotel room at all the birds sailing by.

Finally… we each called our mom’s to wish them happy mother’s day, but I’ll say again here… happy mother’s day mom’s!

OK, so this week’s theme for the hunt is anything. We’re currently staying on the Oregon coast for a few days. A little mini holiday of sorts. I took this picture this morning when we took the boy down to the beach to run off leash. It was pretty early and no one else, except for a father and son, were down there. The little mister had a spectacular time, as you can tell.
