Karen took this photo of me a couple of days ago. We got back to Lancaster on Saturday after a fantastic road trip up into and around Scotland. After getting back we hung out for a day and then Monday evening went to Heysham to look at the sunset. Heysham, pronounced hesham by the locals, is only a few minutes from Mary and Martin’s place. It’s a hidden gem of a place with a ruined church, long beach with cool rocks, a great view across the bay, and lovely sunsets.

NOTE:  I’m in this particular pose because we had been walking along the beach, I was wearing flip flops, and then we had to climb the side of the cliff… in flip flops.  It was a bit of a struggle, but as you can see, I made it.  I was like Rocky at the top of the stairs celebrating my victory.  Very funny and Karen captured it.
