The theme for the photo hunt this week is different. I looked through my recent archives and ran across some pictures I took in Barcelona, Spain of the Gaudi buildings. Nothing says different and unique in architecture like a Gaudi building. Strange, beautiful and amazing stuff. I’d never seen anything like them.

It took me a little while to come up with a photo for this weeks theme, but I finally narrowed it down, every pun intended, to this one I took in a very narrow street in Barcelona, Spain. Narrow street, narrow place to hang your laundry, and small narrow balconies.

I’ve been playing around with the Aperture program and, obviously, haven’t quite figured it all out. I will, but even still… I liked how this came out. Strange, yet cool somehow. Or maybe that’s just the color of it that makes it seem cool. Hmmmm…

There are a lot of museums up in the Monjtuic area, including the Miro museum we went to. This is a garden up in that area.

Saturday, Sept. 15, we headed down to the port, beach, the Olympic Stadium, and the Joan Miro museum. These roman columns mark the entry to a group of buildings that are now used for exhibitions, conferences, etc. At the other end of the plaza between the buildings is a major art gallery.

The weather on Saturday was hot. Very hot. It wasn’t so much the temperature outside, though it was up a lot from the day before, but it was humid, which to the bunch of us made it a water guzzling kind of day. Sweaty, but incredibly fun.
