Had a flat tire the other day while out in the field for work. Two hours waiting for the tow truck, a police officer (who I know… maybe it’s me?) who didn’t assist, no time to see all the kids we were going to try and see that day, 20 mile drive back to Les Schwab on the donut, hanging out at the tire center doing the crosswors with Liz. At least I got a free lunch (thanks Liz!) and a free eclair with it. Birthday weeks are great!

Yeah, I know this is disgusting, but how could I not post it. Someone, hopefully the owner of the car who is also hopefully the owner of the dog, hung a bag o’ poo on this car. Not something you see every day. Thank goodness.

As I said previously, we’ve wandered around Portland a few times with the kids in the last couple of weeks. I took several shots during these walks. I love this one. It’s on the wall of a 24 hour fitness.

I bid on the jar of peanut butter cookies that’s behind this jar of snickerdoodle cookies. I didn’t win. I did raise the bid though by continuing to bid up for a time. At least I can feel good about getting them more money. Even if I didn’t get to enjoy these tasty looking treats.

The fundraiser we attended was a luau. Pretty fun, as well as fund raising. The food, as you’d expect… Hawaiian.

Standing on that same street corner Karen noticed a fork randomly laying on a lamp post box (not sure if that’s the technical name for them… but there it is). I took another one as well where the fork was in focus, but I like this one… shows the background for this fork art. So corny, I know. This, again, taken with my phone.

We’ve been downtown a few times since the kids have been here. This particular outing the kids ordered their wedding bands while Karen and I stood on the street corner with the pups and waited for them. I wait… I take photos. This one, again, with my phone.

We went into Sisters one day for a couple of hours while we were over camping. It was a bit warm. Weston, who never drinks out of “other” bowls, drank. It was a first.
This particular shot was taken outside a great gallery in Sisters. We love this place and in fact have purchased stuff there in the past. Sisters is a cool little town, though now it’s a bit touristy. But who cares, it’s fun none the less.

After the whole Sundays Parkways event the three of us decided we needed a beverage to cool off. We once again jumped on our bikes and road down to Crush. I snapped this as we were sitting outside enjoying a cold one. Mine… Bottingtons. Karen’s… water. Maggie’s… uh, she never said… shhhhh…. secret.

People were really enjoying the sounds of Sneakin’ Out yesterday at Colonel Summers Park in SE Portland. These two were great. So much fun to watch. You could tell they were having an awesome time.

Sneakin’ Out is a local Portland Band that’s fantastic. We enjoyed listening to them yesterday during the Sundays Parkways event in SE Portland. This is the mandolin player of the trio. He’s amazing. I don’t know if I’ve ever heard anyone play as fast as he can.
