Apparently, after reading over what I’ve posted today and then scrolling down a bit, I posted stuff about the Children’s Fair and our trip up to Centralia earlier. Ah well… age. It’s a lovely thing. At least I posted different photos. No need to look at the same old ones. bah ha ha ha!! I make myself laugh.

We saw an amazing sunset and some incredible light on Mt. Adams as we drove home from Centralia. Of course we had only one choice at that point… get off the freeway, hit the road less traveled, and find the shot. We didn’t get the exact angle I was looking for, but I did manage to get a series of shots that weren’t bad. Love the light on the mountain in this one.

Had a great lunch this last Sunday with our friends, Dan and Linda, their kids, Amanda and Daniel, and Kev. Really nice time with them in Centralia at the Olympic Club. Nice mid point meeting spot.

We went to a friend’s house Halloween night to hang and then walk to have some dinner. Maggie, we love this little girl. We especially love that we rescued her and that you and she have become so close. So glad we could introduce you guys. So happy it’s turned out so well. She is adorable.

Cut off the length you need for a bracelet, start loading it up with beads, tie it on the wrist, tah dah… bracelet.

There was actually some blue sky out there during the day on Halloween… go figure.

Check Out The Shoes

These guys play at the Children’s Fair every year. Their music isn’t CD worthy, but they play with gusto. Forget all that… get a load of their shoes. Fantastic.

I spent Halloween, from 10-4 anyway, working at a children’s fair. Michael Curry, the amazing puppet guy from the Lion King and Olympics fame) had a display at the fair. His workshop is out near where we live. Pretty cool eh? Anyway… the fair is cool. I’ve worked there every year, save one, of the tens years I’ve been in my job. It’s a great thing. Love seeing all the kids and all the adults working the fair giving to the kids of the community. Our phrase to remember? “You can have one big bead, and as many little beads as you like.”

Not exactly the most clear photo, but I had to include it here. I took this one with the iphone in a darker room. ah well… it still captured the essence of the night. Sushi, with friends. We met up with the pod (there are eight of us all together) to help celebrate and send off two of our friends on their trip to Peru. We met the night of October 30. They left early October 31. So far, according to the Facebook updates anyway, they look like they are having a spectacular time. Can’t wait to see the photos when they get back.

October 27 Karen, Kev, and I traveled to Mom and Don’s place to do our annual celebration. It always includes three things… candles to commemorate the year, brownies, and mocha almond fudge ice cream (because it’s Mom’s favorite). What are we celebrating? We are celebrating Mom. Mom’s determination, grace, sense of humor, her absolute unwillingness to give in to feeling down or letting something get the best of her. That’s Mom. Fantastic, amazing, and continuing to go about life in a strong and loving way. I love you Mom. I love you.
