And that folks is what you call a bad pun.  I’m being punny again.  I should stop.

Our bathroom addition is coming along.   Tub, toilet, sink, lighting, fan, closet shelving, and shower all done.  Or, mostly done.  I actually took a shower in there this morning.  Woo Hoo!!  I have taken some pics, but not uploaded them yet.  When I do I’ll post some.  All that’s left… finish the siding, window and door trim, crown, baseboard, solatube in closet, uh… oh, backsplash on the sink, hanging up the mirrow above the sink… and, well… I think that’s it.  Yeah.  Happy dance time.  Or almost anyway.  It’s been a long road, but it’s totally worth it.

Had a flat tire the other day while out in the field for work. Two hours waiting for the tow truck, a police officer (who I know… maybe it’s me?) who didn’t assist, no time to see all the kids we were going to try and see that day, 20 mile drive back to Les Schwab on the donut, hanging out at the tire center doing the crosswors with Liz. At least I got a free lunch (thanks Liz!) and a free eclair with it. Birthday weeks are great!

Another fork sighting. This time in a parking lot near the Loyd Center. What’s with the forks? Is someone trying to tell me something? Fork Off Tam! Fork off!! This one also taken with the phone camera. I had to. It’s kinda creepy this thing with me and forks.

As I said previously, we’ve wandered around Portland a few times with the kids in the last couple of weeks. I took several shots during these walks. I love this one. It’s on the wall of a 24 hour fitness.

I bid on the jar of peanut butter cookies that’s behind this jar of snickerdoodle cookies. I didn’t win. I did raise the bid though by continuing to bid up for a time. At least I can feel good about getting them more money. Even if I didn’t get to enjoy these tasty looking treats.

On September 12 we went to a fund raising dinner and auction. Mary and Martin went with us. This is the hand of the woman who is the director of the facility the fund raiser was for. Her cup said confident. I think that’s fitting.

Standing on that same street corner Karen noticed a fork randomly laying on a lamp post box (not sure if that’s the technical name for them… but there it is). I took another one as well where the fork was in focus, but I like this one… shows the background for this fork art. So corny, I know. This, again, taken with my phone.

We’ve been downtown a few times since the kids have been here. This particular outing the kids ordered their wedding bands while Karen and I stood on the street corner with the pups and waited for them. I wait… I take photos. This one, again, with my phone.

Let’s sum up our lives since the last I posted something… which has been a little while ago.

On the 10th of September Mary and Martin arrived from Britain. This was us walking across the pedestrian bridge from parking structure to the terminal. I took this one with my phone. Not bad, with a little tweaking from an app called Camera Bag. I believe this was like the 1974 version of the photo. All browns and muted. Cool.
