Door Way, originally uploaded by Tokenhippygirl.
Ah the joys of rental property ownership… Just when we think we’re getting close to being done, we’re not. It seems, with this particular house anyway, that it’s been one little thing after another. We have a sink installed, our plumber says it’s wrong and has to be re-done, but it can’t be without totally ripping out the counter top (which was new) and putting another new one in (the off shoot of hiring a handy man who wasn’t so handy in this particular case); we have to buy a door for one of the bedroom and the hinges to go with it, we do and the door fits, but the hinges are in the wrong place so we’re going to have to go back and redo the hinges on the frame to match the door; we have to get a new faucet for one of the bathrooms, but it’s like a hundred bucks just for a faucet, so we have to use the one from the sink we already bought for the master bathroom and then buy a new sink and faucet (used at the rebuilding center) for master bathroom; the downdraft that’s supposed to go in really easily isn’t so easy after all as it’s right where the floor joists are and so a special pipe has to be manufactured to get around the joists… and, well… it goes on.
We’re saying it like a mantra now… we’re almost done… we’re almost done… we’re almost done. Yeah… I think it’s working… cuz… we’re almost done.
