This and the few that follow it were all taken today in our yard. I love the summer in Oregon.

The theme for this week’s hunt is hanging. I looked through my stuff and found this one taken in January of this year, right after a good rainstorm. As you might have heard, we’re very familiar with rain here in Oregon. It’s part of what makes it so beautiful here and also why, after a long winter of rain, we appreciate our summer so much. I love taking photographs after it rains, hence this shot, as everything always looks so fresh. There’s something about water, drops, the rain… it’s life, new, and can be incredibly, and simply, beautiful. Like these drops hanging off the bare maple tree.
