Photo Hunt – Shoes

The theme for this weeks Photo Hunt is shoes and this, well this is our shoe cupboard. It’s our solution to having a dog who loves to steal and then chew on all things shoe (and furniture, and napkins, and remote controls, and phone, and underwear, and socks, and hats, and pens, and… LOL). We had this cupboard and were using it as a cool broom closet. We also had the racks which are actually soft sweater keepers you’re supposed to load with sweaters and hang in a closet. We hadn’t been using them for sweaters, but thought hey, they and this cupboard would make a fantastic shoe storage system. Presto, the shoe cupboard was born.

are all these shoes for BOTH of you?? if so, wow! you’ve got a lot more restraint than I do… check out H’s little Shark Shoes… I’d kill for a pair of these Chucks in my size

A well organized shoe cupboard. We have 4 kids so it gets organized once in awhile, but then it kind of loses the sleek look and becomes a mess over time. It is tough when switching from seasonal shoes. It would be nice to have a closet big enough to store all the footwear from every season at once. Good shoe theme photo and good idea to share for organizing.
That’s a good solution.
I’ve got a behind-the-door hanger and a couple of floor racks that work pretty well, but I do have to swap out my shoes and store out-of-season stuff under the bed!

Great storage solution – I wish I had a better solution – we have a hanging rack in the closet but it doesn’t hold enough.
