Where there are people feeding fish and where there are fish, there are gulls.

We’re home now, but I thought, since I didn’t do this earlier, that I’d recap our continuing adventures in Vegas.
Here goes…. on January 1 we took a little sojourn out to Lake Mead. It was beautiful out there actually. I bit cold, but pretty none the less. The kids love to go to the docks and feed bread to the enormous fish who hang out at the docks just for that activity. We weren’t the only people tossing day old into the water so I guess this is a regular and usual thing. The fish are huge, and a bit eerie… all those mouths opening and thrashing about to get into the best position to grab what’s being offered. An odd thing, but kinda fun.
Other than feeding strange enormous thrashing fish we also wandered the docks taking pictures. Karen took this particular one. I liked the light in the water.

This is sweet onion and fontina chicken. We’ve been experimenting with cooking new recipes we find. This one was a big success. Very delicious indeed.
