We had another really great weekend. Yesterday, as you can tell by the pictures in the posts before this one, we ventured out to Saturday Market, Delta Park, Marine Drive, and along Waterfront Park. We also made a stop at IKEA for a chair for our office, but that’s not very exciting. We had a great day. Not to mention that we also got a lot of Christmas shopping done. We are almost there. It’s a great feeling.
Today we hung out at home and did a bit of cleaning. Also, Mom and Don stopped by for a couple of hours, drank some chai, ate some lunch, chatted it up, and put up with our hyper dog. It was really good to see them and really lovely to spend some time with them.
After they took off for home we settled in for a movie. This afternoons selection? Dreamgirls. We liked it. Jennifer Hudson was really good, no wonder she won the academy award.
Now… off to sort recycling so we can take it in next Saturday. There’s a lot of it. How does it pile up so quickly… one of the true mysteries of life.

Closed for the Season

While driving around we also stopped at Delta Park so that Weston could “do his business”. What we didn’t know is that when we went into the park we’d see a huge flock of geese stopping off during their annual migration. The park staff had closed off this section of soccer fields to give them a place to land.

After enjoying some shopping at Saturday Market we ventured out along Marine Drive, which happens to pass the airport. I couldn’t resist stopping to take a few pictures of both planes, and as you’ll see by the next post… Mt. Hood and the river.

We did a little Christmas shopping yesterday at Saturday Market. It was a bit chilly so Weston cuddled up and stayed warm inside Karen’s coat. Luckily he’s not a big guy, that would’ve been awkward.
