These pictures were all taken yesterday. I’d dropped Karen at the airport (yes, I’m bummed she’s away right now and I miss her terribly), early, and then went over to have some breakfast with Mom, Don, and the girls (Don’s grand daughters) at Steph and Phil’s place. By the way, thanks again for breakfast you guys! Anyway… after visiting with them for a while I took a little drive out to Multnomah Falls and snapped some pictures. On the way home I stopped along Highway 30 to take some more of the ice clinging to the rocks along the road. It was beautiful. I’d actually planned to take more than I did, all around town, but getting up at 4:30/5:00 in the morning put a damper on my ambition. By the time I’d gotten out to Multnomah Falls, I was exhausted. So sad… though I’m laughing about it.
Today I’m just sitting here, quietly, drinking pear green tea (very tasty), looking at the sunlight trying to reach the house through the trees (it’s not the time of year when it actually gets through), writing a little, surfing a little, and listening to Vertical Horizon and Dan Fogelberg. Pretty nice. The only thing more I need is to have my Karen home with me, but sometimes you can’t have everything. No worries… I get to see her Saturday, when I fly to St. Louis to meet her.
Now I think I need to go forage in the kitchen for something to nosh on. I eat strangely when Karen is away. You’d think I forgot how to fend for myself, even after doing it for years. Very funny. Somehow… I’ll manage to feed myself. I’m sure of it. Good day all….
